Tropical Storm Humberto formed off the coast of Africa early Monday morning.
The storm will have no impact on Florida, and will likely stay in the far Eastern Atlantic for its duration, but it is expected to become the first hurricane of the season.
Our Storm Team 5 partners tell us that if the storm strengthens into a hurricane on Wednesday, as it's being forecast to do, Humberto would tie the record for the latest forming hurricane of the season.
Tuesday, September 10th, marks the statistical peak of the Atlantic Hurricane Season.
