Sally's Recipe of the Week: Slow-Cooker BBQ Ribs

 

Slow-Cooker BBQ Baby Back Ribs

I am finally going to use my Crock Pot

 

 

 Here is what you will need.  (Note I only made half the recipe)

8 pounds pork baby back ribs
salt and pepper
2 cups ketchup
1 cup chili sauce (you find it in a bottle by the BBQ sauces)
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
4 TBS vinegar
2 tsp dried oregano ( I used 1 TBS fresh because I had it)
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
dash hot sauce  (I used several!)

Preheat the oven to 350. Season the ribs with salt and pepper.
Brown the ribs in the oven for 30 minutes, 15 minutes per side.

While the ribs are cooking, make the sauce.  Put the ketchup, chili sauce, 
worcestershire sauce. hot sauce, brown sugar, oregano, vinegar in a bowl and mix well. Season to taste with salt and pepper. 

Take the ribs out of the oven and put in crock pot.

Cook on low for about 6 hours or up to 8.
