Residents lined up Wednesday night at the Doubletree Hotel in Palm Beach Gardens to ask questions and provide feedback over a proposed spring training stadium.
Hundreds of residents filed through, some of them waiting more than an hour. Baseball personnel, stadium financing staff and traffic officials answered questions and provided information about the proposed $100 million facility that would stand near Central Boulevard and I-95.
It would serve as the Spring Training site for the Houston Astros and Toronto Blue Jays and would be just down the road from Roger Dean Stadium, where the Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals hold their Spring Training.
Several officials said the project would create a positive economic impact. Some residents from surrounding communities said they were concerned over traffic issues through currently quiet streets and near schools.
