Hero Needs Help, Chili's to the Rescue

Hero Needs Help, Chili's to the Rescue

Have plans for dinner yet?  You can enjoy a night out with your familiy at Chili's, with the good feeling that you're helping out a local hero.

You may have heard the story about Angel Soto, the father of four who rushed to the aid of a man who had been involved in a car crash almost one year ago and lost his leg in the process.

As Angel was pulling the man out of a pickup truck along Old Boynton Road on October 29, 2012, a Porsche rushed by, pinning the good samaritan to the truck and ultimately costing him his right leg.

The Traffic Safety Committee of the Palm Beaches gave Angel a Hero Award earlier this year and now they want to help him pay for medical expenses.

Soto is waiting for Social Security benefits to kick in and dealing with costs that go above and beyond what insurance will pay.  He also lost his job as a security guard, yet still says all of this is worth it, because he helped to save a life.

Click Here to print the flyer, or visit the Safety Council of Palm Beach County, Inc.  At that website, you can also find out how to donate directly to Angel Soto, if you can't make it to dinner.

Now to dinner:

Visit one of three Chili's locations in Palm Beach County and show a printed flyer to your server.  Ten percent of your check will be given to Angel Soto, but this is going on from 4pm to 10pm on Thursday only.

Here are the three locations where this event is going on:

Chili’s Jupiter, 65 US 1 North, Jupiter FL (NE corner of Indiantown and US 1)

Chili’s Palm Beach Gardens, 3805 Fairchild Avenue, Palm Beach Gardens, FL (Legacy Place)

Chili’s Boynton Beach, 2202 N. Congress Avenue, Boynton Beach FL
